Project Aim

The ORION Project has a number of inter-related yet distinct aims. These are to:

  • Produce extensive, quality research output (evidence-base) focused upon osteopathy in relation to a wide range of practice, professional and patient-focused issues grounded in daily routine care and practitioner experience
  • Establish a national sustainable research resource (national database) for osteopathy in Australia
  • Coordinate and grow partnerships and collaborations across the osteopathy research community and beyond
  • Develop national research capacity in osteopathy (especially via facilitating early-career researchers, PhDs/Masters dissertations)
  • Directly impact health practice and policy
